My first Daisey BB Gun (under the Christmas tree) was influenced by Chuck Connors show. Of course, when I attempted to use it without supervision and shot out our neighbors window my father promptly confiscated my Daisey and paper route money as compensation for the thoughtless deed. Tough lesson to learn Bob but gave me an added respect for firearms regardless of their power capabilities.
My older brother did something similar. One of his friends kept telling him that his BB gun couldn't shoot far enough to reach him. My brother finally took the shot and hit the kid in the leg. The next thing we knew and there was a cop at our door. He took the guts out of the gun, which turned it into basically a pop gun, which my brother gave to me.
